What Should I wear? by HANNELI & AMLUL

These are the two outfits I created for Mango with the pieces from their A/W
collection, very 70s inspired with earthy colours and a very warm feeling!
All the clothes I'm wearing are by MNG
This summer has been full of great stories and amazing moments. And..work,tons of work. But for me,I just don't really see it as "work", because whatever I do that involves fashion and creativity, is just the best way to spend my time and energies to keep learning and discovering new things. So, in july ,MANGO invited me to participate in their new online campaign, creating, with the gorgeous and super funny Hanneli, 2 looks for their "What Should I wear?" stories. It was an extremely hot day in Barcelona, and I was the first one to arrive at their factory which is just outside the city. Met the team (and the lovely Cristina, who also did a little feature/interview for the Mango blog "Keep the Beat",check it here), and went straight to have my make up done. Meanwhile I munched delicious pastry and had a million coffees. When I got to start checking MNG's new a/w collection Hanneli walked in,and the real fun begun! We got to dress the cute swedish model, and chit-chat in between. Even that we finished pretty late, I convinced Hanneli to pop by my hotel room (as we were staying in the same one) to join me for a couple of drinks...but you know how this always ends up in Spain..and we went to the best night in town, runned by the greatest kiddos, my great friend Neko, Soren, Jordi and cia at "NASTY MONDAYS" a great night that you shouldn't miss if you are in Barcelona on a monday night! You'll have the time of your life I promise!
Watch the video where Hanneli and myself show you how to put together the essential pieces of Mango's a/w collection!

Look of the Day.97: a bit of the best bits

Wearing my all-time favourite Beau Coops boots...I am sooo in love with them!
Next season they come in pony skin(black and beige) and I'm getting them all cos I
literally live on them everyday!!! Paired with this amazing coat I bought last august
in the street down in Paddington(Sydney) where an old lady had a rack full of clothes
and I spotted this great 70s faux fur beauty! The jeans are the new TopShop corded
trousers I've been lusting for..even tho I've recently dyed them all in black! I found the
bad last sunday down in BrickLane and even it's a bit battered (like my boots) the bad condition makes me like it even more. Adds charisma to the bag and some great life to
it too, of course as you probably already know, my sunnies are my fav 1971(REISS)
ones!!!The necklance is from a vintage shop in Madrid and the tee It's from H&M,
I got it during my last trip to Krakow,Poland while I was there working.

New Zeland fw-highlights

This year I got invited to one of the most amazing Fashion Weeks I've ever attended. Anna arranged everything in order that I could travel to the other side of the world and have the time of my life, enjoying gorgeous designs with a very unique point of view. I'd like to thank everyone who made me feel like if I was at home. Also big shout to my lovely minder Katiana , for looking after me so well while I was down there. Thanks to the Westin hotel in Auckland for hosting us and for having the best mini burgers ever, and to all the designers who made me feel and discover New Zealand in a complete different way. I'll be supporting NZFW forever and it's incredible emerging fashion scene that is taking place right now. It's def one of the most amazing, apart from beautiful, places I've ever had the pleasure to go to, and I cannot wait to be back very soon.
KIWIS RULZZZ!! Here are some snaps I took during the shows. Featuring images fro Cybele, Stolen Girlfriends Club,Alexandra Owen and many more... I have to give a special mention to the Ruby designers for their shout out to my blog and showing a great support. I did loove the collection! Also great job to Zambesi, who threw one of the best shows during Fashion Week. I also enjoyed very much the lunch at World,a very unique and different label who made our evening a much happier place with wine and afternoon tea,a complete new experience for a fashion show!

Vogue UK- feature

It's not like if I get featured on Vogue everyday...I've done it a few times
already on the Spanish,Korean ,French and U.S.A versions of the magazine,
but this time is different. Vogue ,Uk means a lot to me. First, because is one
of my favourite magazines and second because it's from my "adoptive country".
This whole story begun this summer,on a hot evening of june in London . I was
running late , trying to run as fast as I could ,in order to get on time to my
appointment with Emily Sheffield at Claridges. After the major run I promised
myself to quit smoking . ( which I haven't accomplished yet, of course).
Once there, she was warm, funny(we even got to bump into Russel Brand!) and I
immediately realised why she was working for vogue, 2 word: strong-woman.
That's it...after talks, she asked me if I wanted to be involved in one of
the stories that they were running every month. And by july, Emma arranged a
shooting date with me. It took place at my new apartment down East London.
I got to wear those amazing Balenciaga shoes that you have probably seen already,
even tho, unfortunately that picture hasn't been published. The story was about
our ever fav pieces of knitwear,so I chose to wear a gorgeous Marc Jacobs
white lace dress(see on the feature) combined with my chunky Rokit Jumper
and Prada booties. For the second outfit I matched a pair of Levi's shorts
with my all-times favourite Dries van Noten cardigan!

Stolen Girlfriends Club - last night's party

Back stage images from the very best show from New Zealand Fashion Week: Stolen Girlfriends Club fall 2011.
spikes,cigarettes,smoke,bruises,sexy wedding dresses and stokings...
an evil combo that will melt anyone who dares to wear the latest collection...absolutely breathtaking. Once again, congratulations to all the wonderful team of creative minds and talented brains behind this label, which I got to know deep down and now I am an uncoditional supporter and i wanna help to spread the SGC word! GET ON IT NOW!
